| 14.10.2024 -Ambassador Stefan Tomašević visited the municipality of Breba |
|
On October 14, 2024, Ambassador Tomašević visited the municipality of Breba, which is located in the Prahova district, and held a meeting with the president of the municipality, Adrian Ungureanu. After the hosts presented their previous development projects, they discussed the possible establishment of cooperation with one of the similar Serbian municipalities. The importance of economic, educational, scientific and sports cooperation between Serbia and Romania, tourism potential, but also the importance of connecting local self-government units for the purpose of exchanging experiences and participating in joint projects was emphasized.
During his stay in the municipality of Breba, Ambassador S. Tomašević also visited the museum located in the castle "CASA DOMNEASCĂ BREBU", a medieval building, which was first mentioned in 1640, during the reign of Matej Basarab. Among the most representative items exhibited in the museum, such as the collection of old books (Bible from Bucharest, Kazania from Iași), icons, medieval clothes, a special place is occupied by the portrait of Milan Obrenović. |

Following the tragic loss of lives at the “Vladislav Ribnikar” Elementary School shooting in Belgrade on 3 May 2023, the Government of Serbia has declared three days of national mourning, from 5 May to 7 May 2023.
The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia is grateful for all the messages of support we have received.
