AMBASSADOR BRANKO BRANKOVIĆ

- Born: 1. September 1940, Belgrade , Serbia

- Graduated: Faculty of Law, Belgrade University

- Until 1967, District Commercial Court: passed Bar Examination

- In 1971 entered Foreign Service

- 1973 - 1977 Permanent Mission of Yugoslavia to the UN in New York. In charge of political affairs. Took part in numerous bodies of the UN System.

- Since 1973, member, Yugoslav Delegation to the Law of the Sea Conference

- In 1975, Chairman of the Group of 77 of the Law of the Sea Conference, Geneva

- September 1977 - September 1978, Councellor of the President of the 32-nd session of the United Nations General Assembly

- 1978 - 1980, Adviser for Disarmament Affaires , Department for International Organizations, Federal Secretariat for Foreign Affairs. Participated in numerous meetings concerning disarmament affaires.

- 1980 - 1983 Counsellor, Permanent Mission of Yugoslavia to the UN in Geneva. Participated in that capacity in numerous conferences and meetings.

- 1986 - 1990, Minister - Plenipotentiary, Embassy of the SFR of Yugoslavia, London

- 1990 - 1992, Director, Department for International Organizations, Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Participated in numerous conferences and meetings in and out of the UN Sistem

- 1992, Ambassador, Permanent representative of the FR of Yugoslavia to the UN Office in Geneva

- As of 1993, Ambassador at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs specialized in the Multilateral Affairs

- As of 1997, Head of the Sector for Multilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

- As of 1998 Ambassador, Permanent representative of FR of Yugoslavia to the UN in Geneva

- As of March 2001 till March 2003, Secretary, Yugoslav Group of the Interparliamentary Union

- As of 2004, Consultant, Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro ( Serbia)

- As of September 2008, Chief of Cabinet and Counsellor for International Affairs of the Speaker of the Parliament of Serbia

- As of August 2013, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Romania
